At age 9, I adjusted my first pair of glasses for a patient in my mom’s optometric practice. That was the beginning of a lifetime of serving people’s eye health and vision needs. 50 years later, I am as excited as ever to use my knowledge of vision to help my patients be more successful.

For years I have given workshops and provided retreat seminars to parents, educators, patients, optometrists, and other healthcare professionals about how better vision can change lives. Recently, to improve public awareness of optometry’s role in learning, I began a Facebook tribe called “Vision Aces”, and every day I post a mini-visual secret that helps to improve learning skills.

For 35 years I have given workshops about Visual Secrets for reading, writing, spelling, composition, and math success to a wide array of audiences. My book transforms these workshops into a 12-week, step-by-step process to improve learning efficiency. I wrote this book to be able to reach more people around the world.
